Music and psychoanalytic knowledge inform each other both clinically and outside the consulting room/concert hall. This pertains to educators, business leaders, cultural institutions, arts organizations, social service and mental health professionals. The concepts that link music with psychological principles hold implications for interdisciplinary applications regarding how we tune into and are moved by what we hear.
I offer presentations illustrating how music and a knowledge of mental life are relevant in understanding and dealing with a variety of social and psychological issues. I offer lectures and workshops on topics that include
